Futura Business Park
Futura Business Park, comprising three-buildings on a nearly 4-acre site, was developed in 1982 as a research and development park and was renovated in 2009 by Carleton into a multi-tenant office park and is conveniently located off of Interstate 15 and Clairemont Mesa Boulevard, across from the new Kaiser Permanente Hospital. The buildings feature abundant windows overlooking pleasant, garden-like rear patios and are within walking distance to retail stores and restaurants.
Most recently, Carleton renovated the exterior and interior common and occupied areas with: solatube and LED lighting for energy efficiency; energy efficient common area restrooms which included low water usage fixtures; new shower facilities, and xeriscaping.
Since 2009, Futura Business Park has been the corporate headquarters for Mental Health Systems, a non-profit agency founded in 1978 to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities facing substance abuse and behavioral health challenges. Other non-profit tenants include Hannah’s House, a non-profit agency serving the San Diego community, protecting children during difficult family transitions and the stresses of family court, divorce, separation, and child custody concerns; and The Arch Academy, offering a highly specialized low-student ratio high school educational program empowering students to overcome social, emotional, or academic challenges they face.
Other tenants at the Park include small businesses such as Design Squared, interior design and life-changing design visionaries for residential and commercial properties; Network Titan, a network support and service company offering computer support services throughout San Diego County; and ElevATE Semiconductor, a leading supplier of innovative, low power, high density components for the design of next generation Automated Test Equipment (ATE).
